Personality: Eccentric, Aloof, and yet still carefree and uninhibited. Ika is a scholar of the music arts and a gentleman within his right and view. Though that is just how he is, a man that always sees himself as the center of attention not because he is gaudy or arrogant but rather because of the unique way in which he carries himself and processes situations and actions he would take just to make someone laugh. Striving the be the class clown in every group that he is within barely ever taking anything seriously whatsoever. He would rather coast through life with the beautiful things in mind, and a smile on his face than to ever worry about the materialistic garbage that he views to many people should ever truly care about at all.
However, on the same turn of page Ikatteiru is someone that could be seen as crazy and deranged to the point that he is mostly regarded as an enigma that would rather be on their own than to ever be around people which couldn't be farther from the truth. He actively sought and continued to find individuals with the same or similar mentality to his. He is a party animal always wishing to be amused and pursue the joy of life no matter how he proceeds about the issue at hand.
Rather he would push people to the point of enemies before he would ever truly let a joke die. However, there is absolutely one thing that the man would never truly entertain again, and that would be love. As that is the cruelest joke that has ever been written in the chronicles of the time. Pushing anyone that could even come close to that emotion away and stay far from ever attempting to reach that level of commitment even among friends and family.
However, on the battlefield, he turns into a completely different animal, Somber, Emotionless, Stern these shall be the only emotions that one would ever know of Ika at least if you see him on the battlefield. He does enjoy the meaningless violence or even what some would consider the thrill of life or death situation; he finds it exciting and full of humor to the point that people consider him the "mad hatter." Ika on the battlefield is entirely self-serving, self-absorbed, and selfish; he does whatever he likes as long as it pleases him in some way. His insatiable love for spilling the blood of powerful fighters in combat and his enjoyment of extreme pain while doing so fuels his seemingly sadomasochistic desires.The thrill of fighting strong individuals give him a pleasure that he had only before found within music and music. Fighting in near death experiences is an orgasmic experience for him. It is likely one of the reasons why he goes out of his way to find new toys to play with. If they break, he either loses interest or kills them before going out to find more potential prey.
With his manipulative and self-centered nature, the "mad hatter" could easily be considered a murderous sociopath. He does not care for what has happened in the past, as he is only interested in what could be amusing to him in the future or present. While "Mad Hatters" nature tends to be malevolent, he isn't an indiscriminate killer. He has no problems killing anyone regardless of age or sex; however, he only kills people who are in his way or those he deems "worthy." As such, he is more simply amoral than flat out evil.
Though above all else, Ika and the "Mad Hatter" cares only about having fun and a good challenge. Choosing at times to be a whimsical liar and tends to freak out or play cruel jokes on his victims or friends for the pure amusement of it all. Just witnessing their uncomfortable expressions because of him getting under their skin pleases him. His chaotic nature is inherent in everything he does and makes him dangerously unpredictable.
